Second graders at Hominy Valley Elementary were over the clouds with excitement as Air Force scientists breezed through hands-on weather experiments. These real world professionals explained how weather plays an important role in the military.
“We have been talking about changes in weather and how it impacts each of us,” said second grade teacher Anna Rumler. “The other teachers and myself had so much fun seeing our students' reactions to the whirlwind experiments in the presentation. Kids were so impressed with what they saw that they kept asking questions for days about weather.”
Ms. Rumler said it’s learning opportunities such as this that really enhance each student’s educational journey as they think about all the possibilities that await them.
