‘Tis the season for giving for the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office. This holiday season, School Resource Officers collaborated with the Sheriff’s Department to collect gifts for Buncombe County Schools students. At least two students per school will receive gifts this year, thanks to the generosity of the Sheriff’s Office staff, SROs, and the community.
“It’s exciting to see students from all of our schools come together to celebrate the season,” said Sergeant Will Fisher. “They are so excited to receive gifts, and we know it would not be possible without the generosity and teamwork of the Sheriff’s Department and the community.”
SROs wrapped up this program with a meal provided by the Sheriff’s Office and held at the Nesbitt Discovery Academy cafeteria, presentation of the gifts and a visit from Santa, and the Grinch!
