For the 2023-2024 School year tuition is $525 per month.

Tuition is collected 10 times during the school year (September through June).

Payments and Fees

Upon registration and annually, parents must pay a non-refundable $50 enrollment fee. The program utilizes the online platform iCare to enroll, maintain student documents, pay tuition, and provide two-way texting communication with teachers. 

• Payment is due by the fifth of each month and will be collected for 10 months in total (September- June). 

• Payment can be made online or via check. Online payments incur a service charge for processing. Checks must be made payable to Buncombe County Schools and post-marked by the 5th. Please send to:

• Please write the month, site and child’s name in the memo line

  • Please be advised that when writing a check it may take up to 10 business days to process. If this is an issue, the other option is to pay online and the funds will be drafted immediately from your account.

• If payment is not received by the 5th of the month, the family will incur a $50 late fee. 

• If payment is late more than once, the child’s enrollment will be reviewed by the director and Early Childhood Advisory committee to determine next steps, such as, but not limited to, possible removal from the class roster. 

• All returned checks will also be charged $30 per check and any late fee attached to that month’s check. 

Attendance

Children benefit most from the preschool experience when they attend regularly.  Please notify the lead teacher if the child will not be in school on a particular day.  Also, it is helpful to notify the center if the child will be arriving late or leaving earlier than usual. We only offer full-time care at our center. If your child is absent from school, you are still responsible for paying for the days they are not present.   

*Please respect the schedule of the classroom and have students at school no later than 8:30. If there are specific reasons for a late arrival, please communicate with the teachers. This creates a constant schedule for the staff and students, as well as allows teachers the ability to adjust the schedule if and when necessary. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Please be prompt in picking up your child.  After fifteen minutes, if a parent is late picking up a child, a $15 fee will be charged and an additional $1 per minute fee beyond the 15 minutes. This policy is strictly enforced via your child’s iCare account. If there are multiple infractions of this expectation, the child’s enrollment will be reviewed by the director and the district’s early childhood advisory committee.

Always notify the center in writing if someone other than the custodial parent is to pick up a child.  Children will not be released without written permission from the parent or guardian.  All parents must complete a written form if someone else picks up their child.
