The T.C. Roberson High School, A.C. Reynolds High School, Cane Creek Middle School, and Charles T. Koontz Intermediate bands are hitting all the right notes after earning statewide recognition for their dedication to musical excellence.

The North Carolina Bandmasters Association has recognized each of these bands as a 2025-2026 Program of Distinction, an honor that highlights the hard work, talent, and commitment of the students and directors who make up the programs.

Earning this distinction reflects excellence across the band programs and the countless hours students spend rehearsing, performing, and developing their skills throughout the school year. From the classroom to the football field to the concert stage and beyond, these musicians continue to represent Buncombe County Schools with pride.

The recognition is also a testament to the dedication of the band directors, families, and supporters who encourage students and help the programs continue to grow and succeed.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
