It was a championship moment under the Friday night lights as the Enka High School Wrestling team celebrated an incredible achievement with their community. 

During halftime of Enka High’s football game on August 21, members of the wrestling team were recognized on the field and presented with their 2026 State Championship rings. Surrounded by family, friends, classmates, and fans, the Jets had the opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication that led them to the top. 

The championship rings represent much more than a title. They symbolize countless hours of practice, determination, teamwork and perseverance throughout the season. From early mornings and long practices to the pressure of postseason competition, these student-athletes continued to push themselves and one another toward their ultimate goal. 

Congratulations to the Enka High Wrestling team on an outstanding season and a well deserved championship!
