North Windy Intermediate School came alive with color, music, and movement as fifth grade Dual Language and sixth grade Conexiones students took the stage to showcase their learning about Chilean culture.

Through an artistic presentation of the Fiesta de La Tirana, students brought this vibrant cultural celebration to life. Dressed in authentic costumes and intricately designed masks, they transformed the space into a lively parade filled with energy and tradition.

With each step, students performed traditional-style dances, moving in rhythm to music that echoed the spirit of the festival. Their performance captured the joy and significance of Fiesta de La Tirana, a celebration known for its rich blend of cultural expression and community.

Adding to the experience, students also sang songs in Spanish, demonstrating not only their understanding of the language, but their connection to the culture behind it.

This immersive presentation was more than just a performance - it was a powerful example of how language learning can open doors to deeper cultural appreciation. Through music, dance, and storytelling, North Windy students didn’t just learn about Chilean traditions - they experienced them.
