Students representing Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Swain county schools spent the day exploring the teaching profession through interactive sessions led by current and former Teachers of the Year and school administrators. The conference was designed to provide real-world insight, practical strategies and inspiration for students enrolled in “Teaching as a Profession” courses.

After transitioning into morning breakout sessions, students paused for a lively pizza lunch, offering time to connect with peers from neighboring districts and to continue conversations sparked during the sessions. The afternoon concluded with additional breakout sessions, equipping students with tools and confidence as they consider careers in education.

The Buncombe County Schools Foundation extends its gratitude to Mars Hill University, each presenter, and every participating school district for investing in the next generation of educators.
