Clyde A. Erwin High School was filled with holiday cheer on Saturday, Nov. 22, as families from across the community gathered for the school’s annual Breakfast with Santa. Hosted each year by the hardworking FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) students, with support from the teacher cadet program, the event showcases the spirit of leadership, service, and joy that defines the Erwin community.

Guests were greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made pancakes and sizzling bacon, cooked and served by students who proudly took ownership of the morning’s meal. Laughter echoed through the cafeteria as families sat together, enjoying a warm breakfast and festive conversation.

Of course, the highlight of the morning was a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who listened closely to each child’s wishes. Nearby, children wrote heartfelt letters to Santa, created crafts, and enjoyed lively games.

Adding a playful twist to the event, the Grinch made a few sneaky appearances - popping in to stir up just enough mischief to make kids giggle.

Year after year, Breakfast with Santa remains a beloved tradition at Erwin High - one that brings families together, celebrates student leadership, and ushers in the holiday season with joy, community, and a whole lot of pancakes.
