The BCS Board of Education has been awarded the North Carolina School Boards Association's Golden Bell award, the highest full Board award for professional development.

The award was presented last week during a regional training for school board members. Ms. Judy Lewis, Rev. Charles Martin, and Ms. Kim Plemmons accepted on behalf of the Board.

"I am incredibly grateful for the leadership of our Board of Education," said BCS Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson. "Their individual and collective commitment to personal professional development models for our students and staff the importance of continuous improvement."
