Black Mountain town officials visited Black Mountain Elementary for the official unveiling of a new mural at the school entrance. As we’ve shared, art teacher Jolie Atkins designed the mural this summer to help develop a sense of belonging among the Warponies.

Tuesday, Black Mountain Mayor Michael Sobol and Vice Mayor Archie Pertiller joined Mrs. Atkins, principal Bill Honey, Buncombe County Board of Education representative Greg Cheatham, and the BCS senior leadership team to see the completed work.
