Laughter echoed through the gym and school spirit soared as Johnston Elementary students cheered on their favorite teachers and staff members during the school’s annual staff volleyball game.
This year’s event had an exciting twist. BCS Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson made a surprise appearance – and not just as a spectator. Donning a “Joyful Johnson” tee, Dr. Jackson joined in on the fun!
Dr. Jackson’s team faced off against Principal Angie Trantham’s team in a friendly, yet competitive, match. With students clapping, cheering, and holding handmade signs, the energy in the gym was electric. In the end, Dr. Jackson’s team edged out a win, but the day was about far more than the final score.
The annual game has become a tradition at Johnston, signaling the end of the school year with laughter, camaraderie, and a strong sense of community. Students had the chance to celebrate their teachers, cheer them on, and send the school year out on a high note.
