Glen Arden Elementary principal Jamie Slagle was surprised at the fourth grade awards and promotion ceremony, when she was announced as the winner of the first award. 

After BCS Associate Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Reed welcomed students and families, she invited Cub Scout leaders on stage to present Mrs. Slagle with the Elbert K. Fretwell Award for Outstanding Educators.
