Buncombe County Schools Virtual Academy (BCSVA) laced up their bowling shoes as strikes were rolled in a fun filled school wide field trip. BCSVA is an online schooling option for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Since students, parents and teachers do not see each other in person on a day-to-day basis, it’s important to bring everyone together for fun and team building.

“Opportunities like this create community and are a great time for students to interact with each other and school personnel,” said Charles Furlow, Career Development Coordinator for BCSVA. “It puts a personal touch on existing in the virtual world and ensures our kids are engaged at more than an academic level. It warms our hearts, and we look forward to each quarterly gathering.”
