Our High School Transition for current 8th graders is in full swing. See the event list below for details about the options available for rising 9th grade students. 

Events Hosted by AC Reynolds High:

2/22: AC Reynolds High School counselors meet with 8th grade students to prepare for course registration 

2/26: Rising 9th grade parent/student night at Reynolds High School, 5:30-6:30 pm

2/29: Advanced Learner Night at Reynolds High School, 6:00-7:00 pm. Contact AIG teacher, Ms. Altman ( kimberly.altman@bcsemail.org ) for more information. 

3/7: 8th Grade tours Reynolds High School at 1:00 pm

3/11: Registration cards for high school classes due to 8th grade homeroom teachers. Parents and students, please make sure all choices and signatures are complete. 

3/14: 8th Grade registration with middle and high school counselors to finalize registration

Events Hosted by Buncombe County Early College (BCEC):

2/1: Buncombe County Early College presentation to 8th grade students, 1:30 pm in auditorium

2/20: Interested 8th grade students visit Buncombe Early College 8:30 am - 10:30 am. Field trips forms required for visit.

2/22, 3/12, 3/27 : Early College hosts Open House from 6:00-7:30 pm

3/21: Early College application assistance

3/29: Early College application deadline

Events Hosted by Nesbitt Discovery Academy:

2/15, 2/29, 3/21 : Nesbitt Discovery Academy hosts Open House for parents and students from 6:00-7:30 pm

3/15: 8th grade students visit NDA. Field trips forms are required for this visit.

3/29: NDA application deadline
