Burlington’s store slogan is “Deals, Brands, WOW!” The retailer offered all three - but especially the “WOW” - to teachers at Estes Elementary Saturday.
The retailer held a grand opening ceremony for its Arden location and invited Estes teachers and families to be there for a special surprise. Burlington announced it would donate $5,000 in credit to AdoptAClassroom.org.
“We are so appreciative of Burlington’s generosity,” said Estes principal Jay Dale. “The company has come to our area and immediately shown that it wants to support our students, teachers, and families. I wore my ‘Stronger Together’ shirt today, because this is a prime example of that.”
Teachers will share the donation to provide extra supplies for their classrooms and students.
“We are so happy to be in Arden,” said Burlington store manager Tina Lombardi-Folsom. “We have felt so welcomed by everyone, and we are excited to put down roots and build relationships with families.”
Estes staff, students, and parents got to participate in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony leading up to the store’s grand opening. The new Arden Burlington is located at 11 McKenna Road in the Southridge Shopping Center off of Airport Road.
