Buncombe County Schools has a strong commitment to educating the whole child. This means understanding how each child’s life skills contribute to their success in school and beyond. These skills include such things as problem-solving, emotional management, and relationships with others. Many studies support the strong link between these skills and success in school and careers. In fact, employers look for these employability skills in their job candidates.
Between November 16th and December 1st Buncombe County Schools will implement the Panorama Survey. Students in grades 3 - 12 will complete the survey. The information will be used to plan instruction and identify environmental supports that best meet the needs of students. In addition, results will give schools an overview of what skills need more direct instruction, intervention, or support.
