At Hominy Valley Elementary, all students enjoy a weekly general music class led by our music teacher, Ms. Mathis, where they delve into musical concepts, learn about composers, and explore melody. Our SmartBoard technology enhances learning by allowing students to create and play music interactively. Grade-level performances are a highlight, where students sing, play the recorder, and strum the ukulele. We also host an annual talent show where students have the opportunity to showcase their own musical abilities and other talents to the school community. Additionally, we are treated to performances by talented guests during assemblies each year. Music is an integral and vibrant part of our school community.
