This summer CTE teachers will host the 2024 Career Accelerator camps for Buncombe County students. See information below if you would like to enroll your student in one of our FREE camps. Space is limited! Please sign up by Friday, May 31, 2024.

When: Monday - Thursday June 17 - 20 and Monday - Thursday June 24 - 27.
Time: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Who: These camps are open to students currently enrolled in Buncombe County Schools in rising 6th -rising 8th grade.
CTE Summer Camps at Erwin High School are allowing students up to rising 12th grade.
Description of weekly camps:
We have five CTE Summer Career Accelerator Camps to choose from that will allow your student to dive into a dynamic blend of hands-on activities each day and learn more about their career aspirations.
Join us for an unforgettable summer experience where learning meets adventure, and where you'll gain the tools and confidence to chart your course toward a successful future.
Each day will include daily, purposefully planned activities. Behavior expectations, rules, procedures, and a daily routine will be established and implemented to provide students with the stability and predictability needed to feel comfortable and safe. Age appropriate, career exploration activities will include the participation of local business and industry partners.
Daily activities may include:
Culinary skill development
Teamwork and competitions
Woodworking - skills & techniques
Exploring foods lab, apparel lab, etc.
Goal setting and basic programming
Transportation:
Parent/guardian will drop their student(s) off at a school location listed below.
Camp Enrollment:
20 students each day
