The Library’s Teen Job Skills Fair is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2024, from noon – 3 pm at Pack Memorial Library downtown.
This Fair is designed for any teen, grades 6-12, who is trying to apply to a summer job, internship or first job out of high school. Career Development professionals from Mars Hill Career Center, Buncombe County recruiting, and Goodwill and NCWorks NextGen will lead three separate workshops on the topics of career assessment and job searching, resume and cover letter writing, and interview skills.
Students who attend will also have the opportunity to sign up for 20 minute one-on-one consultations with these career development professionals for help with specific job opportunities, resume/cover letter critique, and mock interview practice.
