Charles D. Owen High School (OHS) FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) put their culinary talents and servant hearts to work by preparing a special meal for the staff at Donald S. Collins Early Learning Center. 

The students planned, prepared, and served a delicious lunch as a way to show appreciation for the educators and staff who make a difference in the lives of young learners every day. Their hard work in the kitchen highlighted not only the cooking skills they have developed through FCCLA but also the organization’s commitment to leadership, service, and strengthening communities. 

The giving didn’t stop there. In addition to preparing lunch for the staff, the students also created a special snack for the children, bringing smiles to students and staff alike. 

The experience provided OHS FCCLA members with a valuable opportunity to apply real-world culinary skills while making meaningful connections within the community in which they live. Through teamwork, creativity, and spirit of service, these students demonstrated how small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.
