The Buncombe County Schools Student Services team hosted a cookout for School Resource Officers on June 11. The celebration came on the first day of summer break as a way to thank SROs for supporting students, teachers, and school communities throughout the school year.
The event was also a way to honor Sgt. Corey Ray, who is retiring after more than two decades of service in our schools.
Thank you to all the officers for serving Buncombe County Schools!
