How do artists use images, lines, colors, shapes, and other techniques to tell a story about themselves and our world? BCEC Year 2 students in Ms. Meadows's English classes explored this question during their field trip to the Asheville Art Museum. After studying narrative writing and author's craft in class, they participated in a guided tour and created a self-portrait to learn about the connections between art and literature.

Check out India and Lucian at the FBLA-C meeting! Early College students have the unique opportunity to participate in student groups not only in their high school but also the AB Tech campus.

The Business Administration Department held their Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate Chapter Information Session with Lucian and India there to represent BCEC.

FBLA-C supports students in developing skills to prepare and compete in case studies providing workforce experience. The AB Tech team will compete at the state level with the hopes of qualifying for the national championship in Las Vegas. #changingpossibilities #weareBCS

A graphic that said "Saluting the American Workforce on this Labor Day. Buncombe County Schools will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025 in observance of the holiday." There are decorative red and white stripes, along with big blue stars with smaller white stars inside them. The Buncombe County Schools circular seal is on the bottom.

We are so proud of BCEC grad, Judy Felipe De Le Cruz!

Judy is truly a student who embodies the BCEC motto, changing possibilities! Judy is currently a student at UNCA. She spent this summer at MAHEC as a UNCA Pre-Healthcare Professions intern, completing 160 hours of clinical shadowing, weekly didactics, and a community/ organizational project. Check out her mention in MAHEC's Friday Takeaway from 8/15/25. Great work, Judy!! #BCEC #buncombecountyschools #publicschoolproud #weareBCS #changing possibilities
