Summer Academy sites for 2022 have been released:
Clyde A. Erwin High School and A.C. Reynolds High School will be the host schools for Summer Academy 2022. Summer Academy is scheduled to begin on June 28 and end on August 3, 2022.
All classes will be held in person on these two campuses. This is a requirement of the legislation which is providing funding for the Summer Academy. The only virtual summer option will be NCVPS or AB-Tech courses that have specific criteria which must be met prior to registration through your school based DLA, not through the Summer Academy Application process.
To attend either BCS Summer Academy site you must register on-line. Applications are available on the Buncombe County School's webpage by scrolling to the bottom under the "ANNOUNCEMENTS" heading. IMPORTANT: There are two separate applications this year - one for the Erwin site and another for the Reynolds site. Be sure to register for your desired site.
Transportation will be provided from Enka HS and North Buncombe HS to Erwin HS.
Transportation will be provided from Owen HS and TC Roberson HS to Reynolds HS.
Students should keep your school laptop and charger issued by your base school and bring with you each day to Summer Academy.
It is strongly recommend that you consult your counselor about the appropriate course(s) to take in Summer Academy before registering.
CHS students, if interested in attending Summer Academy, please see your counselor for information.
