Jeffrey Whitenack: All-National Trombonist
T.C. Roberson High School student musician Jeffrey Whitenack is one of only six high school trombonists in the United States chosen for the All-National Honors Symphony Orchestra! Here's a chance to see him in action on the Roberson stage, performing short selections from Fantaisie & Variations on The Carnival of Venice by Jean-Baptiste Arban.

Career & Technical Education: 2019 Playhouse Showdown
BCS Career and Technical Education (CTE) students at Enka High School, Clyde A. Erwin High, North Buncombe High School, Charles D. Owen High School, and A.C. Reynolds High School are hard at work building playhouses for this February's Playhouse Showdown, sponsored by Asheville Home Builders Association.
Ag Students Shine at State Competition

Congratulations to Enka High School junior Corbin Dion for being selected as the Ingles Markets and Asheville Citizen Times Athlete of the Week! Our strong tradition of BCS athletic programs has been growing since 1881, allowing outstanding students like Corbin to bring his best to his wrestling and cross country teams.

We are inspired by this family dear to the North Buncombe community who has persevered through their daughter’s rare medical condition. Grace is now a sophomore at North Buncombe High School, and performs in the North Buncombe Blackhawk Band color guard.
