2022 BCS Summer Camp Opportunities

Buncombe County Schools is offering several exciting camps at various school locations this summer. Please see below for those opportunities and how to enroll your child!
CTE is excited to offer FREE and FUN Summer Career Accelerator Camps that focus on high-quality, evidence-based learning and workforce-aligned projects for BCS students. The program is for rising 6th through rising 12th grade students.

Camp size is limited to 15 students each week. 

Camp sites:  Reynolds High School, Enka High School, Roberson High School, Erwin High School, North Buncombe High School, Nesbitt Discovery Academy and Cane Creek Middle School.

Valley Springs Middle School

The BCS Summer Strings Bash is open to students who play violin, viola, cello, or have played for at least one year. The camp runs from August 1 - 5 at Valley Springs from 8:30 - 3:30 pm each day. Students will participate in an orchestra ensemble as well as choose from fun electives like guitar, fiddle, improv, electronic music, chamber music and more. Cost is $100 for those who register before 6/15 and $120 after 6/15. Financial aid is available!

Charles C. Bell Elementary
Jump Around Jump Rope Camp is open to raising 2nd - 6th graders. Students will work on technique, individual skills, partner tricks, double dutch, playground games, and more! There will be two different camps: June 13-17 and July 18-22. Cost per camp is $160.

Enka High School
Enka HS is hold a FFA Agricultural Kids Camp July 11, 12, 13. This camp is open to students in grades 1st - 6th. Price for camp is $20 per day or $50 for all three.

Girls On The Run Summer Camp

This week long camp is available to any rising 3-5 grader. The camp will be July 25th-29th from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Christmount Christian Assembly in Black Mountain, NC. Full program fee is $200, or income based fees.
