An Important Announcement Regarding Remote-Only Opportunities for the 2020-21 School Year:

We were expecting to hear a decision from Governor Cooper today (July 1, 2020) regarding plans for next school year, but that has been postponed.

If the Governor announces schools will re-open for instruction with some in-person elements, (Plan A or B as summarized in the link below), we are pleased to offer BCS families who prefer a remote-only learning option this opportunity.

During the week of July 6, we will send out instructions on how to begin the process of signing-up for remote-only, at-home learning for your child. You are also welcome to reach out to your school's principal to sign up. We are all working together to streamline this process.

An important note: If you prefer remote learning for your child, we ask you to commit to remain in remote-only learning at least through December of 2020. Your child will have an option to continue remote-only learning in the spring semester (January 2021) if they choose.

We’ll provide many more details in the coming days and weeks. We feel it is important to make it clear to all of our families that remote learning in BCS is an option for everyone!

Please email your school’s administrator with any further questions.

View a summary of Plan A and Plan B in our previous Back to School announcement on June 25.
