Join superintendent Dr. Tony Baldwin and our Buncombe community in honoring the 2020 Top Scholars of Buncombe County Schools through a special virtual presentation premiering at 7 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, May 24.

The presentation will be accessible on our district website, Facebook, and YouTube channels, and will kick off a week-long Virtual Senior Week to honor the Class of 2020.

During this historic season of the COVID-19 pandemic and executive orders affecting the school year, some of our favorite and most important traditions have been reimagined in an online format for the safety of our students, staff, and community. This includes our Top Scholar Awards Banquet that was originally scheduled for April 29. However, these unprecedented and complicated circumstances will not prevent us from celebrating the Class of 2020's great accomplishments, or our pride in their successes.

The Top Scholar designation celebrates students' academic success in Buncombe County’s public high schools. Our Top Scholars achieved the highest Grade Point Averages in their respective schools and will graduate among the top of each class.

The community is invited to join us in virtually celebrating our 2020 Top Scholars!

At 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, the presentation will be posted here and on our BCS Facebook and YouTube channels.
