Please read this important announcement for families and staff. This message has been translated into Spanish, Russian, Romanian-Moldovan, Ukrainian, and Chinese.

Dear BCS Employees:

Thank you for your continued patience as we refine our employee assignment plan during this unprecedented school closure. We are updating our plans one day at a time as we receive more guidance from the state.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, will again be a regular workday, for which you will get paid, and all the usual rules regarding using accrued leave will apply.  All employees should report to work to receive work assignments.

If you cannot report to work because you are sick or immuno-compromised or living with someone who is, please notify your supervisor.

Just like today, employees whose only job is driving a bus, if able, should report to their assigned school at 8am for work assignments. Your job assignment will be determined when you arrive at school.

Families will again be invited to come to school tomorrow (Tuesday) during normal school hours to pick up their devices, chargers, or any belongings they may have left at school.

The BCS Virtual Days will launch for students Wednesday. Please visit http://virtualdays.buncombeschools.org to learn more. Please stay tuned for more details.

Finally, response.buncombeschools.org is your resource for all school-related announcements, information, and links related to our comprehensive response to the coronavirus. Check back often for important updates.

Thank you.
