COVID-19: Meals & More

Online financial support of our COVID-19 emergency programs is now accepted.

We're here to help. As our community and world navigates the coronavirus situation, we're committed to doing our part to help provide needed meals to students.

Our Buncombe County Schools meal sites are below. Across North Carolina, you can find sites for student meals at no cost near you through a statewide interactive map, or simply text ‘FOODNC’ to 877-877. In Spanish, text 'COMIDA' to 877-877. The City of Asheville also maintains this local meal site list and interactive map of area sites.

Parents can also call 2-1-1 to speak with an operator who will help them locate meal sites in their community. The 2-1-1 service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services are provided in English, Spanish and many other languages.

Online Free/Reduced meal applications are still being accepted by our Nutrition team. If you anticipate needing this service when school resumes, you may submit this application now. (Families will need to complete the application again in the Fall for the 2020-2021 school year.)
