Teacher Appreciation Week, Nurses Week, and School Nutrition Appreciation Week were observed concurrently locally and nation-wide!BCS Communications

May has been a month of thankfulness as Teacher Appreciation Week, Nurses Week, and School Nutrition Appreciation ("Lunch Hero") Week were observed concurrently locally and nation-wide! Here in Buncombe County Schools, we know our educators and support staff are invaluable members of our community who work together to provide a world-class education to local students. Thank you to these generous, kind, and hard-working people!

"Thank you for who you are and what you do for the students of Buncombe County Schools," said Madam Chair Ann B. Franklin of the BCS Board of Education.

🎈"Thank you so much to all who helped appreciate our teachers this past week during Staff Appreciation Week! The PTSO allowed our staff to enjoy breakfast with Dynamite Coffee Monday, a Mexican lunch with desserts provided by many parents on Wednesday, handmade cards by students made at our card station on Wednesday, and more small treats. During the week, many teachers received prizes in our drawing of items contributed by both parents and local businesses." - Charles D. Owen High School
