Buncombe County Schools is proud to share this video documenting the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the new Enka Intermediate School! The ceremony took place on Friday, August 26 of 2016 at 11:30 a.m. and opened to students for the first time in the fall of 2016. Event photos are also below, as well as historical photos of the American Enka plant and workers.

The historic opening of this school was also the cover story for the Summer 2016 edition of the Buncombe County Schools Advantage Magazine!

This video was produced by the Communications Department of Buncombe County Schools: Dr. Donald Porter, Stacia Harris, and Ben Rickert. Technical assistance was provided by members of the Technology Department: Barry Pace, Robert Frisby, and Scott Emory.
