It was an exciting season for winter sports. Several of our teams earned top spots in their respective conferences. Congratulations to the following teams: By: Stacia Harris and Breanna Hensley

It was an exciting season for winter sports. Several of our teams earned top spots in their respective conferences. Congratulations to the following teams:

North Buncombe Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball Teams are the 2022 French Broad Conference Tournament Champions.

Cane Creek Girls Basketball Team and the North Buncombe Middle School Boys Basketball Team are the 2022 French Broad Conference Regular Season Champions.

Reynolds High School Women’s Basketball Team was the Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season Champion.

North Buncombe High School Women’s Basketball Team was the Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Champion.

Reynolds High School Men’s Basketball Team was the Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion.

Enka High School’s Wrestling Team was the Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion.

Enka High Girls Basketball made it to the NCHSAA 3A state finals. While they did not win the championship game, they are recognized for their talent and hard work this season!

Competition was high and winning ten team conference championships and numerous athletes winning individual conference championships or conference awards reflects greatly on the quality of our middle school and high school athletic programs.” (David Ball)
