Important Calendar Changes- 2/14/18 Updates
Posted on 02/14/2018
We have some important updates to the school calendar. We have some important updates to the school calendar. The Board of Education met Wednesday morning to examine feedback from more than 10,000 survey responses from parents and staff regarding the best way to make up instructional time lost to winter weather. The calendar changes are as follows:

--March 30 will now be an early release student day.
--May 28 will be an early release student day.
--We will extend the school year until June 13.

We have a few more weeks of winter left, so further changes to the school calendar may be needed to comply with North Carolina calendar requirements.

**If another day of instruction is lost to winter weather, we will extend school days in the month of April by 20 minutes each.
