Mini-mester Administrator and Teacher Application
TO: All High School Teachers

Graduation Initiative Buncombe County Schools' Graduation Initiative will again be offering the Mini-mester program this summer for high school students to earn new credits or recover credits in morning or afternoon sessions.  Any student who has failed a course and needs to repeat it, or any student who needs a new course to get back on track for graduation may apply.

Students who could benefit from a flexible schedule and who have shown a commitment to getting back on track for graduation are appropriate candidates. 

 We are seeking an administrator for the program. If you are interested in fulfilling these duties, please fill out this Mini-mester Administrator Application.
We are currently seeking teachers for the following courses:
  • English IV
  • English III
  • Senior Project Only
  • Math 3
  • Math 4
  • Biology
  • American History 1   
  • American History 2
The Mini-mester will be held at Erwin High School, and is scheduled to begin on June 24.  Courses will be offered 9:30-12:00 and 12:30-3:00, Monday through Thursday, ending July 31. 

Pay will be based on teachers' daily rate and will include eight hours of instruction plus two hours of planning each week.  

Any currently employed teacher interested in applying should complete and email the application below to -- by May 18.
